Every hour a vehicle spends in the workshop is an hour it’s not generating revenue. To help customers maximise uptime and maintain productivity, PALFINGER AUSTRALIA is introducing a new Afternoon Shift Service, providing greater flexibility for servicing, maintenance, equipment installations and workshop repairs outside traditional operating hours.
Designed for businesses operating in demanding industries, the new service allows routine maintenance, equipment fitment and repair work to be completed after your working day, helping minimise disruption, reduce downtime and keep your vehicles and equipment working when it matters most.
Operating from our Wacol (QLD) workshop, PALFINGER AUSTRALIA provides after-hours servicing, equipment installations, fleet maintenance and commercial vehicle repairs for customers across Brisbane and Queensland.
Whether you operate a crane truck, service body, hookloader, tail lift or commercial vehicle fleet, PALFINGER AUSTRALIA’S Afternoon Shift Service offers a practical way to keep your assets productive during business hours while ensuring essential servicing, repairs and installations are completed by factory-trained technicians.
Launching Monday 31 August 2026 at our Wacol (QLD) workshop.
To better support our customers, PALFINGER AUSTRALIA is extending workshop operating hours with a dedicated Afternoon Shift.

What work can be completed during Afternoon Shift?
Afternoon Shift is ideally suited to:
If you’re unsure whether your vehicle or equipment is suitable for Afternoon Shift work, our Service Team can discuss your requirements and recommend the most appropriate solution.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Afternoon Shift appointments are available by prior booking only.
This ensures technicians, workshop capacity, parts and resources are available to complete the work as scheduled and minimise turnaround times.
Will there be an additional cost?
To cover the additional labour and operational costs associated with running an Afternoon Shift, work completed during Afternoon Shift hours is charged at a labour rate of $180/hr.
Standard pricing for parts, consumables and any other applicable charges remains unchanged.
What time do I need to drop my vehicle off?
Vehicles should arrive by 2:30pm to allow sufficient time for check-in, inspection, parts verification and job allocation prior to the commencement of Afternoon Shift work.
On arrival, the vehicle will undergo a check-in inspection to confirm the scope of work and identify any additional faults or safety concerns. Should additional work be identified, our Service Team will contact you before proceeding.
What time can I collect my vehicle?
Once all work has been completed and any applicable payment requirements have been satisfied, customers may collect their vehicle during Afternoon Shift operating hours or utilise our approved after-hours collection process.
The service has been specifically designed to minimise downtime, with many scheduled servicing, installation and maintenance jobs able to be completed the same evening, allowing vehicles to return to operation sooner.
I’m a COD customer. Can I still use the Afternoon Shift Service?
Absolutely.
Customers collecting vehicles outside normal business hours must ensure payment has been made in full before 4:30pm on the day of vehicle drop-off.
Once payment is confirmed, vehicle keys can be made available through our secure after-hours lock box process.
What if I cannot collect my vehicle until after 10:30pm?
PALFINGER AUSTRALIA offers a secure after-hours collection process using a lock box system.
Approved customers will be provided with collection instructions and a unique access code, allowing vehicles to be collected safely and conveniently outside normal operating hours.
Can emergency breakdowns be attended during the Afternoon Shift?
The Afternoon Shift is focused on workshop-based servicing, repairs and installations and does not provide mobile call-outs or field service attendance.
However, the team will be available by phone during shift hours to provide technical advice and troubleshooting support and can escalate urgent matters where required.
